An illustrated book of basic psychological concepts and everyday emotions for anyone who ponders over the journey of the inner self

About The Book

What makes people do the things they do? How do we begin to discover ourselves? Who am I? What should I do? What do I want? Is there a place for me in the larger picture?

Do you ever find yourself asking these inquiring questions?

The human psyche has been a subject of intrigue for centuries and continues to be so.

Psychologists, philosophers, artists, storytellers, neurologists, policy makers, historians have all tried to unravel the paradoxes, ironies, emotions and the range of human cognition – examined it inside-out, ripped it apart in frustration and looked for some dribble of meaning in its shreds from all different latitudes to make sense of it.

Borrowing from the giants in these fields and our own quirky minds, ‘Three coffee stains later’ adds another perspective to understand the human mind, emotions and its complexities, with a blend of art and psychology.

Stellar creation of love! Covers delicate yet hardwired latitudes of one's inner self like soft breeze. And these uber-relatable illustrations!!

~Ritvika~

So relatable and expertly written! It's a book that makes you question a lot of things about yourself and life! Good resource book for someone on a journey of self awareness!

~Pooja~

Reading the book.. going great! Better and more intense with each chapter! The Impasse due to repression chapter shines! Every line is worth reading again and again and pondering over! Really well written

Started reading the book Really liking the easy, light-hearted approach to serious matters... Brilliant illustrations

~Poonam~

I really enjoyed reading it, it takes you on a journey to discover your triggers and your inner self. It's actually quite embedded with a lot of in depth information but it doesn't feel heavy because of the parallels drawn with movies and literature. And I love love love the comical illustrations, make it even more fun to read. Want to keep going back to the book to dip into it.

~Rupangi~

My problem with psychological concepts has always been that they didn't seem relatable and hence couldn't retain them in memory... The examples from movies and stories in this book really help connect the concepts to real life and make the subject seem interesting as well as relevant.

~Siddhesh~

What to expect from the book?

Our mind is hardwired to categorize emotions, situations, people and even abstract concepts. We love to understand everything, name it and possibly control it as well. This book tries to shift the focus from creating categories or categories to embracing all emotions and internal processes as a part of enriching yourself.

This book is not written as advice or even guidance; it is merely for introspection. What this book contains are the most commonly faced (many developmental) emotions. We have attempted to make it relatable and experiential instead of going the “labelling” way.

The topics that you read about will resonate with you more easily if you have  experienced these emotions. For those of you who are ‘thinkers’, there are ‘points to ponder’ that will bring in more clarity and self-awareness.

The quirky sketches and the detailed references from movie plots will transport you on a wonderful, introspective journey that is both intense and liberating!

Happy discovering!
